スパークのまじめでありながらも聴衆へ訴えかける吹奏楽作品を作る才能を更に証明する作品。トゥッティによる力強い冒頭のファンファーレから生き生きとして音楽的なアレグロへ続いていく。冒頭のファンファーレが再登場する前に、途中拍子の変化を挟みながら曲が発展し、テンポが速いセクションとの見事な対比が特徴です。
